Only five hundred meters from the centre of Kamnik the Resnik campground is situated below the green alpine meadows and peaks of the Kamniške Alps. The campground has courts for tennis. Guests can swim in the outdoor swimming pool. There is a new thermal spa with swimming pools nine kilometres from the camp, along with a golf course (3 kilometres) and a squash court, and horseback riding can be enjoyed at the riding club in nearby Komenda. There are numerous opportunities for hiking in the area, and the highest peaks in the Kamniške Alps reach over 2000 meters and offer interesting possibilities for mountain trekking. Mountain biking and fishing enthusiasts also come to enjoy themselves in these mountains.
